The Title of the Project "Everybody smiles the same language"

Aim: to organise exchange of information by means of Internet between the students from different cities and countries about one of the funniest and most favorite holidays "April Fool's Day" which is loved by many children.

School subjects: English, Information Technology.

Age of students: 13-16 years old.

Result: creation of the Web-site about "All Fool's Day" presentation.

Annotation: Laughter has no bordedrs, such as age, sex and nationality. Humour disposes people to each other. A smile helps people to make friends. Humour helps to overcome difficult situations. Smile at life and it'll smile at you.

The framework of the project.

Stage 1.(by the end of December) - forming of teams-participants and distribution of suggestions and ideas about the project.

Stage 2.(January 3-5) - announcement of the list of schools-participants.

Stage 3.(January 6-15) - collecting of information material with the help of public-opinion poll.

Stage 4.(January 16-20) - exchange of information material about traditions of celedrating "April Fool's Day".

Stage 5.(January 21- February 28) - writing the scenario of the holiday in Russian and in English.

Stage 6.(March 1-15) receiving the scenarios by E-mail and their publication in Web-site.

Stage 7.(March 15-April 1) - preparation for the holiday and its presentation.

Stage 8.(April 2-15) - exchanging opinions and photographs about the holiday.

Stage 9.(April 15-May 1) - creation of the Web-site and distribution of souvenirs.

Recommendations.

Project work is considered to be cognitive and creative activity (independetly planned and realized).

Project work is one of modern and perspective sciences as it develops research abilities of students.

Project work is students' group work.

Working at this project the studends are supposed to make the following groups:

  • The technical group (3-5 persons)
  • The creative group (5-8 persons)
  • The information group (5-6 persons)

The technical group is to type texts by computer, to scan photos and to send materials by E-mail.

The members of the creative group will work out the scenario of the "Fools' Day" and decorate the hall.

The information group will have to find the necessary information and present it in Russian and in English.
